The words “God is love” mean that love is an essential attribute of God. Love is something true of God but it is not God. It expresses the way God is in His unitary being, as do the words holiness, justice, faithfulness and truth. Because God is immutable He always acts like Himself, and because He is a unity He never suspends one of His attributes in order to exercise another. —A. W. Tozer, The Knowledge of the Holy

אהב (ahav) A primitive root; to have affection for (sexually or otherwise): - (be-) love (-d, -ly, -r), like, friend.

אהבה (ahavah) Feminine of H158 and meaning the same: - love.

αγαπαω (agapao) Perhaps from ἄγαν agan (much; or compare [H5689]); to love (in a social or moral sense): - (be-) love (-ed). Compare G5368.

GOD'S LOVE IS CONSISTENT WITH ALL HIS ATTRIBUTES

God's love cannot conflict or contradict His other attributes.

Therefore, God's love is Incomprehensible, Self-existent, Self-sufficient, etc.
