The Spiritual Nature of Worship Is the Same in the Old and New Testament

Series of Studies on Deuteronomy continues. Passage is intriguing. Of the various exhortations found in this chapter several are spot on for what proper worship is supposed to look like. Each aspect translates almost directly to what we do in New Testament worship.

We come/gather to give. Offerings, sure, but more than these... we offer who and what we are. We come how? With humility, meekness. We remember from where we've come and finally, we come knowing full well the grace nature of our relationship to God. We come to rejoice and delight in Him. Lastly, we come to the covenant keeping God who blesses and promises to keep us.
