The Better Priesthood of Melchizedek

From the historical account the superiority of Melchizedek's priesthood is established as he blessed Abraham who paid him a tithe. Tithes ultimately were given to God through His appointed representative which was Melchizedek. Therefore making application, between God and the highly esteemed levitical priesthood still in the loins of Abraham was Melchizedek who prefigured Jesus Christ who is the ultimate Mediator between God and man.
