The Cost of Freedom

(This was a message preached on Memorial Day Sunday)- As Paul brings the book of Galatians to a close, he points out that the gospel of freedom was revealed to him. Then Paul emphasizes that the cost of our freedom comes from the finished work of Christ. Our freedom from the penalty of sin is made possible only through what Christ has done, not through our efforts. This is a reminder of the importance of the cross in the life of the follower of Jesus.
