But God - Who Tries Our Hearts

The beloved apostle writes to the faithful saints of the church at Thessalonica to teach them and to comfort them with regard to God's works and God's providence toward them in all things. In this fourth verse Paul speaks to them reminding them of their message, their charges, and of God's trials not of the fleshbut of the heart. God never tempts or trips His people to lead them to sin; instead He leads them to bring glory to His name by trying their hearts in all ways and in all things.
