B2: The Development of Modern Hermeneutics Session 3

B2 is a course in the development of Modern Hermeneutics. Following the Protestant Reformation, the church needed to find a means to objectively interpret the Word of God. They no longer had Rome to tell them what it meant. In order to keep themselves from slipping into heresy, two rival systems were formulated which still are held by Christians today: Covenantalism and Dispensationalism. Both have their origins in the 16th and 17th century, and both had their time of rise in popularity, but which accomplishes the goal of providing an objective means of interpreting the Bible? Over these four sessions given on two Sunday Evenings we will explore the development and conclusions to both of these systems of Bible Interpretation.
