The Tale of a Yoke

King Nebuchadnezzar was the most powerful king in the world in his day. Why? Because God gave him that. God is sovereign over all and make even wicked enemies His servants. God is able to humble the mightiest king on the earth.

Different kings were plotting with Zedekiah against Nebuchadnezzar and it seemed like the perfect timing to rise against him; however, they had forgotten one thing: they hadn't sought God. So God sent Jeremiah to them to remind them if they want to survive, they have to submit to the yoke of Babylon.

We also have been called to bear a yoke, but our yoke is easy because Christ has already bore the burden for us!
