Who Are You?

After 1 John 3:1-3's call for the believer to "look" to Jesus and His coming, 1 John 3:4-9 called the Christian to "don't look back" to the life of sin without Christ, in order to look and walk forward in Christ and the new life in Him. Now with 1 John 3:10-18 there is the call for the Christian to be "who you are" as a child of God in His kingdom, reflecting and representing his new nature, family, kingdom, and God in his conduct to love God and to love God's people with the love of Christ. And the children of God will be markedly different from and be opposed by the children of the devil.
