God Before Creation

The first 4 words in the English Bible, "In the beginning God..." indicate several crucial things about the nature of God: 1) he is self-existent and does not need anything or anybody to help him; 2) he is eternal - he has always existed and always will exist; 3) he is creative; and 4) he is preeminent among men. God is a higher order of being than we humans, but we have the privilege of knowing and serving him. This great God can be trusted with our lives, our concerns, and the future.
