The Parable of the Unjust Steward Explained

Properly this message should be titled 'The Illustration of the Unjust Steward Explained,' because it is not a parable, but an historical event which our Lord Jesus uses to illustrate a very important truth. It relates peculiarly to the Jewish disciples of the first church and in a sense this could be called 'The Parable of the Great Commission.' It is the instruction that is in this parable that these disciples will be called upon the to apply to themselves in a very short time.
