The City of Eden

The fulfillment of the Garden of Eden is the final City of Eden, the New Jerusalem. This shows God's appreciation of city as a concept, but does God give any appreciation for the current cities of the earth? Are they not "daughters" of the prostitute Babylon? And should we not as Christians "go out" from Babylon (Rev. 18:4)? How do we do that without actually leaving the planet, or without leaving the planet unloved?
