It is to live with an acute awareness that every second of our lives is laid bare before the presence of God. R.C. Sproul says 'to live in the presence of God is to understand that whatever we are doing and wherever we are doing it, we are acting under the gaze of God.' Think of all the implications of that reality. Every click on the internet, every text message, every conversation, every thought that no one else knows about, everything we hide in our hearts, all of it lies under the piercing gaze of a holy God. Friends that ought to produce a little 'fear and trembling' shouldn't it?"
