Providence & Sanctification

What is sanctification? It is a work of the Triune God working to bring about the purification of our soul, so as to lead us to cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, and perfect holiness in the fear of God", as it says in 2nd Corinthians 7: 1. And what is holiness? Holiness in the Christian is learning to be separate from sin, and learning to keep the commandments of God from a heart which loves God and men. And so, God is not only concerned that we keep His commandments. He is concerned also about how we keep them; our attitude toward Him, and our attitude toward other people, in the keeping of them.
