What to Do in the Dumps

I.Admit you’re down (1–3)
A.Encompass the whole church in your lamentation
B.Acknowledge the sovereignty of God over all things
C.Refuse to accept the misery as the perpetual status quo
II.Ask His help (4-5)
A.Remember what God has done in the past to save His people
B.Plead for rescue again
III.Apply His promises (6–8)
A.Remember what He has promised for our future
B.Rehearse these promises back to Him in prayer
IV.Anticipate better days (9–12)
A.Pray through your doubts and fears
B.Depend on God alone for help
Confess your hope that He will finally deliver us completely
