Can You Be Trusted? (Things Forbidden in the Ninth Commandment, Pt. 7)
Series Westminster Larger Catechism
Topical sermon based on the Westminster Larger Catechism question and answer 145, "What are the sins forbidden in the ninth commandment (Pt. 7)?"
Romans 1:31 and 2 Timothy 3:3 teach that people who obsess with themselves God will abandon to themselves and their own destruction, because they suppress God's Word in unrighteousness and cannot be trusted to keep their word. Can You Be Trusted? Do you understand the question, or lack the character to care about trustworthiness? If you lack the traits of trustworthiness, the deeper problem is your relation with God. If you are faking it with God, your end will be horrific. If you are people of the Word, you must not be people who break your word. Christian, be thankful that Jesus Christ, Who is the Word, keeps His covenant for you. Can You be Trusted?
