Pastoral training #2 Instruction

Paul as a pastor showed the best features of a mother's love and the best features of a father's love. Fatherlike, he not only set a good example, but also issued instruction to God's children. He knew that they could be hesitating, fainting, and wavering, and so—like a good father—he exhorted, comforted and charged them to walk worthy of the high calling with which they had been called.

Such a ministry is not only a great lesson to pastors, but a continued example to fathers as to how we ought to invest in our children.
