1 Thessalonians 4 PT13 - The Quiet Life & the Tongue
Series 1 Thessalonians 4
This is a study of Paul’s first epistle, the epistle to the Church at Thessalonica. This is the first epistle that Paul ever wrote. Thessalonica was a Roman Colony city, right in the heart of the Roman empire, with a rich, long and varied history. Here we look at how our Lord has called us to a quiet life. This is a life lived in conformity with His Word and by the power of His Holy Spirit in us. It is a life that is peaceful, ordered and pleasing to Him. This quiet life should be supremely evident in our Christian lives and be evident in how we use our tongues. Our speech should be giving forth the truth in love, while we are giving thanks in all things.
