The Raven and the Dove

After the flood and the ark had rested Noah opened the window and released a raven and a dove. The raven never came back to him, but dove did, because she found no rest for the sole of her foot out there in the world. The two birds are a picture of the lost and the saved. There is no place among the ungodly of the world for a child of God. It is home for the ravens, whose name means "to devour; to obtain by violence." The child of God only finds rest in the ark, which appears to many to be like a prison, but in reality is the only sanctuary from the evil of this world. Noah's ark pictured Jesus, who is our ark in these evil times.
