The Ascension of Jesus

Consider the coming and the going of Jesus. Jesus came to this world in the incarnation and returned at the ascension. The God-man is now seated at the right hand of God the Father! The Christ is soon coming again to this world. He will judge the living and the dead. He will take His church home. And every human being who has come to earth will go from it. The immediate effect of Jesus' ascension upon His followers was twofold: they worshiped and they witnessed. We who believe in the light of the overwhelming evidence do the same. The gospel of God is glorious and true, and is evidenced by the real evidence of His resurrected body, the testimony of faithful eyewitnesses and the ancient documents we call the Holy Scriptures that accurately record the events.
