Christ as Lord & Lawgiver

Jesus said that discipleship involves "teaching them to observer all that I commanded you." We look to Jesus as our Lord and as our Lawgiver. On both the Mount of Transfiguration and at the Baptism of Jesus, the Father tells us that Jesus is His "beloved son." And that we should listen to Him. When Peter was tempted to elevate Moses and Elijah to equality with Christ, he was rebuked. We read the Old Testament through a New Covenant lens and interpret all things in light of Christ, and His fulfilling work.
