Paul Preaching the Gospel to Agrippa

Paul's sermon to Agrippa begins by making clear that it is possible for a man to be both a faithful Jew and a follower of the resurrected Jesus. It concludes by making the point that it is in fact impossible to be a faithful Jew and not be a follower of the resurrected Jesus, since the law and prophets find their fulfilment in Jesus, the Christ.

This is the most autobiographic sermon of the Apostle Paul. Speaking to the last king in the Herodian dynasty, he knows that he is addressing a man who has had a front row seat to the unfolding of the Christian church and who is also well versed in the scriptures. So Paul uses his time to press Agrippa for a decision.

This sermon demonstrates that faithful evangelism places its focus on the act, not on the result.
