Today's class stresses the fact that Jesus, the Word, has been with God, the Father, since the beginning. At the incarnation Jesus became the God-man ... but Jesus's existence precedes the virgin birth: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS God."
