Christ's Finished Work

Here we have Christ's last words before His death at the Cross.

All is accomplished! What a lot is in those three words! All salvation is done.

His thirst shows His true humanity, absolutely needed for Him to be able so save us from our sin.

"It is finished" -- there is nothing more to do! There is no supplement from any man. This destroys the notion that Christ has done all He can, and man must make the last step. In such a case, all would be unfinished.

Christ's work is a definite and complete atonement. It saves. It does not make people merely saveable.
