Remember Jesus Christ

Every follower of Christ must cultivate the discipline of intentionally remembering Jesus Christ.

This is one of the last pieces of instruction that Paul gives to his young colleague in gospel ministry, Timothy. Paul writes to him from a Roman prison as he awaits his execution.
Remember also that this portion of God’s Word calls you to remember Jesus Christ. Paul tells Timothy to do this and then underscores his admonition with these 3 points:

1. Jesus is the heart of the gospel
2. Jesus and the gospel are worth suffering for
3. Jesus is always faithful
