Saved for Good Works

While we are not saved by good works we are saved for good works.
In this little letter of Titus, Paul makes it clear that Christians have an obligation to live in ways that demonstrate that they are God’s people. When you become a follower of Jesus and trust Him as your Lord, you become part of God’s family. There are specific family obligations that God places on us as a result of being included in His household. Paul has outlined some of those obligations in chapter 2 and now, in chapter 3, he continues to spell out our practical responsibilities as children of God.
