In the Upper Room with Christ

This afternoon it is my prayer that each of us would be able to draw near to Christ by entering ‎the Upper Room in our spiritual experience; to spend time with Christ and with His disciples ‎there, so that we might better understand what He did for us so long ago. If you will enter in ‎to this Upper Room experience, by faith, it will have rich effects upon your heart as you ‎partake of the Lord’s Supper. For Christ is the fulfillment of the law and all of the Old ‎Testament types of Himself which are given to us in the Old Testament Scriptures. They are ‎given to us for our understanding so that we might profit spiritually from a close examination ‎of them. They are given to us so that we might feed upon the faithfulness of our Lord. Let us ‎think about these precious truths. 1st of all – A crucified ‎Christ and a redeemed people are the ‎fulfillment of the Feast of the Passover. (verses ‎‎1-6)‎ 2nd – A sinless Christ and a holy people ‎are the fulfillment of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread. (verses 7 and 8) And 3rd – A ‎triumphant Christ and a thankful people are the fulfillment of the New Covenant. (verse 15-‎‎20)‎
