Following A Crucified Lord

At three key points in Mark 8:22-10:52 Jesus predicts his death and then explains what it means for following him. Following Jesus the Messiah means following a crucified Lord. It means following him on the same self-denying path in the same humble service with the same redemptive ambition.

1. First prediction and call to follow
   on the same path (8:31-9:1)

2. Second Prediction and following in
   humble service (9:30-37)

3. Third prediction and following with
   redemptive ambition (10:32-45)
