No Place to Hide Swordless

A young soldier hears bombs beginning to fall around him, so he runs for shelter until the danger has passed. this is not the picture Paul gives of the Christian in Ephesians 6. the church is not designed for comfort, or as a holiday camp, or a place to escape difficulty. it is a place of war where its members actively engage in the war; sword in hand. To join the church is to join (in one sense) an army.
