The Christian's Reward

As we approach this passage I do so mindful that we have a stacked deck against us. First we must deal with our default program hard-wired into our being. In the beginning, God deigned to enter into a relationship with man- a relationship predicated upon our conduct. If we obeyed God, we would keep our salvation. If we disobeyed God, we would suffer the consequences in the form of death.

Accordingly God created us to live in this environment and so instilled in every man a passion to relate to God on the basis of their conduct.
