Hebrews 11 was read.
The author of Hebrews tells us that the faith of old testament saint was a faith in the future promise. To be more exact we might want to say a faith in Christ who would bring about the future promise or the future promised era.
Abraham wasn’t just looking for a plot of ground in Palestine. He looked for the heavenly land and heavenly promises and John 5 says that’s because he looked for the day of Christ.
