Prisoner to Prime Minister

Ancient Egypt boasts one of the most well documented histories of any empire. And yet we have no concrete evidence for the existence of Joseph. For some this is troubling. But to the believer what evidence we do have attests to the veracity of the scriptural account – God directs the affairs of nations for his own glory and for the redemption of his people. We love the story of Joseph – his exaltation from prisoner to Prime Minister in an instant. But do we just love it because we always love rags to riches stories? Or because in the exaltation of Joseph we see a paradigm of the exaltation of Christ? In this sermon see how clearly Joseph points to the provision of life that we have in Jesus Christ.
