How to approach suffering

We are called in our patience to suffer like the prophets and to remain steadfast like Job. When we suffer like the prophets we understand that pain prepares us for a message and a message for us. We also begin to understand that once the message is proclaimed our suffering often times intensifies. To be steadfast like Job means that we cling to Him in the midst of our pain and in the end He reveals Himself to us. Suffering brings to us the reality of the Lord Jesus we cannot discover in any other way.
