Suffering to Sanctify

The author of this glorious book has told us over and over again about the vicarious atonement of Christ for all the sins o all His covenant people. This thirteenth chapter draws us forward toward a final conclusion by reminding us that He sanctified us completely not with words or with deeds or with miracles but by the shedding of His own blood on a cross outside of the city of Jerusalem. The children of grace must never, ever abandon the glorious message of the bloodshed of Christ in our behalf. I am cleansed not with anything else but with His shed blood.
