The Spirit-Reliant Christian Life

This class session is an exposition of the third PCA membership vow: "Do you now resolve and promise, in humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you will endeavor to live as becomes the followers of Christ?" Thus, the class examines the concept of a resolution and promise, and why this ought to be made in the presence of the gathered church. Then, after discussing church membership, we looked at why this resolution must be made in reliance on the Holy Spirit, and what it entails and presupposes. Basically, a becoming life is a life that takes the abuse of one's fellow Christians joyfully, bearing with one another in meekness.
