Forgiveness of Sin

Sermon prior to Lord's Table
I. We come to the Lord's Table seeking fresh forgiveness of sin (1 John 1:9)
II. We come asking God to destroy our taste for sin (Psalm 51:7ff)
III. We come seeking to have the joy of our salvation restored.
THREE CONCLUDING EXHORTATIONS...

1. Come to the Lord's Table expecting and desiring to have dealings with God.
2. Open myself up to such dealings with God (like telling a doctor what my problems are...)
3. Receive remission of sins at this 'sinner's ordinance'
