Tychicus

Many skim the last verses of Paul's letters because they contain unpronounceable names of people long dead. This is a mistake. These people are examples of the truths taught in the epistle. Paul begins by naming Tychicus, the man who would deliver the letter to the church at Colossae. Paul describes him as a beloved brother, a faithful servant, and a fellow slave in the Lord. Here is a description of a true disciple—a genuine follower of Jesus.
