John Knox: A Theonomist

As John Knox continued to be used by God in the Reformation of Scotland, he applied the law of God in all areas of life. As a result of this application of the law of God, Knox has been labeled a theonomist. This raises the question of what is theonomy? Theonomy is God's law. A theonomist is someone who applies God's law biblically. Because John Knox had a high view of God's law and the application thereof, it only took Knox twenty-five years to reform Scotland from barbarism to Christian sophistication.
