Donald E. Young, 79, of Catlettsburg, died Friday, April 21, 2017, at his residence. Don was born May 11, 1937, in Boyd County, a son of the late Norman and Hazel Nichols Young. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. Don is survived by his wife, Joyce Blair Young; a son and his wife, Tony and Nancy Young of Ashland; a daughter and her husband, Terrie and Greg Holbrook of Ironville; a sister, Breanda L. Young of Richmond; four grandchildren, Donald Young, Rhianna Price, Samantha Diaz and Seth Holbrook; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Doug Salyer. Military rites will be by Ceredo-Kenova American Legion Post 93. Friends my call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland.
