Taking Sin Seriously

Now the primary force of the teaching here, of our Lord, is to call for the servant of God to take drastic action in avoiding sin and anything that leads them into compromise and sin.
Ex. I have often told my children that they must cultivate a wretch factor towards sin. They must have a quick gag reflex towards those things that offend God and would bring an offense on themselves or others. Sin and temptation is not something you should ever deal lightly or gently with, in your own life. You must go at it with some zeal, vehemence.
