Care for the Truth

The briefest New Testament epistle in number of verses sets forth John's theme regarding the spiritual war in which believers are engaged against the allies of antichrist. The inspired Apostle warns that there must be no quarter given to those who would either subtly subvert or openly deny the doctrine of Christ. They must be treated, John argues, as those who despise the truth and who are dedicated to its overthrow. The people of God must be vigilant. They must hold fast to the truth concerning Christ, and must recognize that only by faith in Christ as He is revealed in the Scriptures can any soul escape the certainty of coming judgment.
