How Do You React to Life's Circumstances?

James gives three responses to three of life's circumstances: suffering, cheerfulness, and sickness. His addressing the issue of sickness is a very difficult situation and text to understand, but context gives clues to James' meaning. He then gives a Community Responsibility towards one of life's circumstances, namely, how to avoid the type of sickness spoken of in the earlier verses.
