Key question: Will vileness be repaid? Is there a God of Justice? Will evil-doer and evil deeds be repaid?
In Judges 20 we have an account of a civil war in Israel as 11 tribes gather to fight defiant Benjamin, after the murder of the Levite's concubine.
The key verse: 'The LORD defeated Benjamin before Israel' (v. 35). Vileness will be repaid.
Spiritual application:
It is folly to stand on the side of evil.
In the face of evil, we should remember that God is a God of Justice and vileness will, in the end, be repaid.
