God's Guiding Eyes

Now it’s verse 8 I want us to look at more closely. This phrase regarding the guiding eye of God… what does it mean for us and to us? How does God guide us with his eyes?

You note that the Hebrew in this passage has been difficult for the translators to decipher. Thus the NIV has suggested… I will counsel you and watch over you. and the NASB reads… I will counsel you with my eye upon you. The King James translation most closely reflects the wording in Hebrew with … I will guide you with my eye.

So we have here at least two possible ways of understanding the text. They don’t contradict one another and they actually compliment one another so we’ll accept both ideas as reflective of the meaning.
