1st ... Two Practical Realities – regarding work, in the real world…

(1st) – WORK IS GOOD

Ø WORK was part of God's original design in creation – Genesis 2:15

Ø WORK is part of God's plan of salvation – John 9:4; Ephesians 2:10

William Tyndale once said: ‘There is no work better than another (as long as we are working) to please God: to pour water, to wash dishes, to be a [cobbler], or an apostle, all are one; to wash dishes and to preach are all one, as touching the deed (of pleasing) God.'

(2nd) WORK IS NEVER EASY – Genesis 3:17-19… Ecclesiastes 2:17,22-23 – the world we live in is under the curse of sin… Another reason why work isn't easy – is because you and I are sinful people, working with other sinful people—and the people we work with are often… lazy, self-centered, careless, negligent, impatient, covetous, deceitful, demanding, and difficult—and sometimes, so are we…
