The Required Altar
Series The Worship of the Church
The Altar God has provided for us is spiritual and not material in nature. Humans default to outward forms to secure their sense of worship – their approach to God - but God who used forms to instruct us in worship has taken those forms from us and left us now to worship in Spirit and in Truth. It is therefore inappropriate to pursue our present worship by relying on forms.
