God's Purpose for His Church, Part 1

Ninety of the one hundred-fourteen references to the church in the New Testament are in to the local church so God has given much instruction for the church and explained what the church is to be.
The unity of the body of the local church has been created by the Spirit and those individuals are responsible for maintaining that unity. Individuals contribute to the building up of the local church but the use of the spiritual gifts given by the Spirit. The equipping for those individuals to do the work of service using their gifts is by being taught the Word of God.
