The Power of the Resurrection

Have you ever really thought about it? About that which Paul writes here to the Philippians? About the "power of the resurrection"? You may have thought, "Well, obviously, the power of the resurrection is merely the fact that Christ rose from the dead! That is powerful!" Yes . . . of course. But really what is that power? What lay behind the resurrection that made it possible even for Jesus to go to the cross? What lay within the resurrection that enabled Christ to break the grip of death? And what lay beyond the actual event of the empty tomb that would be considered "powerful"? These are questions which may get us to understand a bit more deeply the "power of the resurrection."
