Beholding the smoke of Sodom

Abraham valued the place where he met with God. When he rose early that morning and made his way to the place of communion he was faced with the solemn sight of the ascending smoke of Sodom in the eastern sky. That smoke was a vivid reminder of three characteristics of God:

1: His righteousness
2: His faithfulness
3: His goodness

Abraham saw on that morning a small preview of what all believers will see on the last and great day of God's judgement.
