The Great High Priest

We looked at Jesus being the Great High Priest. We saw how a priest had to be a man as he was representing men. There needs to be that full identification with the human condition. Secondly the priest needed to be appointed by God as he would be coming to God on behalf of men. The Lord Jesus Christ fulfils this - he was appointed by God as priest forever. He fully identifies with men as a man. Why go from the greatest to the lesser.
