The Office of THE PROPHET

This is another important passage which speaks not only prophetically to the coming Christ, but also of the office of prophet in OT Israel. The Prophets were not only from the tribe of the Levites, but were men of God raised up by God to speak His Word to His People.

Ultimately, the one who would be raised to speak God's Word of God's People would be the Christ. We had best "Hear Him."
